Coney Mountain - a great view with minimal hiking!
Coney Mountain is located off Route 30 south of Tupper Lake at the Hamilton County/Franklin County line. There's parking on the west side of Rt. 30 at the county line & the trailhead is on the east side of the highway. There's a small Adirondack Preserve sign visible from the road, but no official trailhead marker.
The trail is initially marked with red paint slashes on trees but about 3/4 of the way up, the trail veers off to the left & there are no more paint marks. At the top there's a 360-degree view of the mountains & lakes in the region, and at the right time of the year, there are lots of blueberries!
