Government Affairs Committee Update

As reported in our newsletters and on our website, the USLA Government Affairs Committee has been actively involved in monitoring and responding to each step in the marina approval process.  All of the Committee’s written responses are available in the Government Affairs news section on our website UPPERSARANAC.COM

We monitor the Town of Santa Clara, APA and NYSDEC meetings and are awaiting the Marina's final project proposal submissions to the APA and NYSDEC. We will provide feedback during each Agency’s public comment period, as appropriate, and will provide future updates via our normal communication channels.

In addition to the Committee’s official responses, we would like to make you aware, as we have with other major items within our watershed, of an organized effort to provide feedback to the agencies reviewing the marina project. A sizable group of folks including some USLA members have organized and are requesting additional involvement.

To best inform interested parties, this group has been sending regular updates via email regarding their actions.
