Eagle Island Camp seeking Lifeguard and/or Boat Driver in 2024

Are you a retiree or a resident aged 18 + who loves soaking up the sun, enjoys a refreshing dip in the most beautiful lake in the Adirondacks, and has a passion for adventure? 

If so, we invite you to consider joining Eagle Island Camp in 2024 as a Lifeguard and/or Boat Driver! Don't worry if you haven't donned a lifeguard whistle or captained a boat before – we'll provide training and support to ensure you're ready to dive in! 

Picture this: You, basking in the warm rays of the sun, the sound of laughter filling the air, and the gentle splash of waves against the shore. Our youth camp is looking for enthusiastic individuals like you to join as a lifeguard, boat driver, or both! It's the perfect chance to enjoy the outdoors and stay active.

Lifeguard* and/or Boat Driver

• Must be 18 or older
• The 2024 summer camp season is from June 24 through August 11. Can’t make the entire summer? Not a problem, we are flexible.
• 3 to 5 days/week for 4 hours or more a day.
• Must be able to obtain their lifeguard certification with waterfront skills certification with EIC in early June or independently 
• Must complete the online course and obtain your New York State Boater Safety Certification 
• Must obtain the New York State Public Vessel  License 
• The hourly and/or per diem rates will be finalized in early 2024

*Lifeguards must be able to swim 550 yards (.31 mile) and know how to swim freestyle (front crawl) and breaststroke.
